Something a little different from us today 🤎
Hi everyone, it’s Liandra here. There are over 28,000 of us in this little corner of Instagram and I thought surely we can do a little good together?
Today, I’m asking for your help with something personal - helping my dad’s wife, pictured here with me, restock her op shop in Milingimbi, our home community in East Arnhem Land.
Milingimbi has just one shop, with limited options to buy what people need locally. With the wet season approaching, postal services can be disrupted and travelling to Darwin becomes more difficult and expensive. Having things available in community can make a real difference.
We’re welcoming donations for everyone - babies, kids, young people, and adults, both men and women. If you’ve been meaning to clear out your wardrobe, your children have outgrown things, or your business has stock to contribute, we’d love to hear from you. Clothing and other useful items are welcome - we just ask that everything is clean, in good condition and ready to be used and loved again.
To everyone who has already reached out and replied to our stories - thank you! We’ll be in your DMs today. We’ve been so grateful for the response and wanted to put this into a post so you can help us share it far and wide.
