Among the world’s Top 30 IB Schools, just six years after opening our doors.
We are incredibly proud to see NLCS (Singapore) recognised among the Top 30 IB schools globally, a remarkable milestone for a school that welcomed its first students in 2020.
For students considering the IB Diploma, strong results are only part of the story. As our students progress from the MYP into the Diploma Programme, they develop the knowledge, independence, confidence and resilience to embrace greater challenges, take on leadership opportunities and prepare for what comes next.
Throughout the Diploma, students learn from experienced subject specialists who know them well, encourage them to aim high and provide the individual guidance they need to realise their potential. Alongside this, our University Guidance and Careers team helps students explore their interests, consider future pathways and prepare for university and beyond.
This recognition reflects the commitment of our students, the dedication of our teachers and the continued support of our families and wider school community.
Start Here, Go Anywhere!
For students and families exploring the IB Diploma Programme, we invite you to speak with our Admissions Team and discover how joyful scholarship and an ambitious education come to life at NLCS (Singapore).

On Tuesday, our school community came together to celebrate Deepavali with an afternoon filled with cultural performances, traditional food and family activities, followed by our Festival of Lights Glow Party!
It was lovely to see so many families joining in, enjoying performances by our talented students and parents, sampling traditional Indian snacks and sweets, and taking part in activities such as henna and diya decorating.
A heartfelt thank you to our parent volunteers, who dedicated their time and effort to preparing the performances and sharing their traditions with our community. Your enthusiasm and generosity made the celebration so special, and we are incredibly grateful for your contributions.
We were also pleased to support the @itsrainingraincoats Deepavali Appeal, with ticket donations going towards supporting Singapore’s migrant worker community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the celebration so enjoyable. Happy Deepavali!

@whichschooladvisor.sg early years guide to the best IB schools in Singapore takes a closer look at how children settle in and begin learning in our First School at NLCS (Singapore).
Small classes give teachers time to get to know each child, and working closely with families helps children feel secure as they settle in. Through storytelling, role-play and hands-on activities, children build early literacy, numeracy and communication skills. Specialist lessons and time with older pupils are introduced gradually, while learning becomes more structured through Junior School as children prepare for the IB Middle Years Programme.

We were delighted to celebrate Día de los Muertos once again at NLCS (Singapore), bringing our community together to learn about and appreciate this meaningful cultural tradition.
Día de los Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead, is an occasion when families and communities gather to pay their respects and remember loved ones who have passed away. As part of the celebration, a traditional altar was created at school to honour their lives and memories.
Our community also enjoyed two traditional Ecuadorian treats, guaguas de pan, a sweet bread similar to brioche, and colada morada, a fruity berry drink traditionally served alongside it.
A special thank you to our parent volunteers, who helped present and share the food with our community, making the celebration even more meaningful!

Our Grade 4 and 5 students enjoyed an insightful session on renewable energy last Friday with Andrew Zhang, Co-founder and COO, and Erik Chan, Head of Origination and Development at Solar Horizon.
They discovered how solar panels are already helping power our school and learnt about an exciting new project in development. It was wonderful to see their curiosity shine through as they explored the possibilities of sustainable energy!

What does it mean to embrace joyful scholarship?
In this conversation with Anju from @ssewsg , our Director, Anthony Coles, shares how joyful scholarship goes beyond enjoying lessons. It is about sparking intellectual excitement, encouraging students to ask thoughtful questions and giving them the confidence to explore ideas, challenge assumptions and make meaning for themselves.
At NLCS (Singapore), we believe joyful scholarship begins with curiosity, thoughtful inquiry and a genuine love of learning.
