On the morning of September 20th, Chad Everett Gilbert passed away peacefully in his sleep. He left this world surrounded by friends and family and took his final breaths with his wife and mother by his side, just as he wished. We are devastated and shocked by how quickly he left us, yet so grateful for how peacefully and smoothly he went. The amount of visitors that crowded the hospital lobby at a moment’s notice is a testament to how beloved and cherished Chad was, and always will be. He was a legendary musician, but his favorite accomplishment was being a husband and father. His biggest dreams came true. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, his daughter, Lily, his mother, Jackie, and his brother, Brian.
“Chad’s guitar playing, songwriting, humor, and relentless drive helped shape New Found Glory for nearly three decades. Through more than a dozen albums, endless tours around the world, and more accolades than we ever could have imagined, Chad challenged all of us to grow as musicians, performers, and human beings. While we are devastated to lose him, we are so grateful for the incredible life he lived, the memories we shared, and the brotherhood we had. His influence will always be part of New Found Glory and his spirit will be felt on every stage we stand on, with every note we play.”

🌳 @newfoundglory are closing the Main Stage on Thursday at #2000trees 2027!! The pop-punk legends will also be playing a second deep cuts set in The Forest on Friday as they celebrate 30 years together at our epic 20th Birthday Bash.
🌳 We are also incredibly excited to welcome @thebandreuben to the fields as they reform to play 2000trees together for the first time ever. These guys are festival icons and we really can’t believe it’s finally happening. BUT THAT’S NOT ALL!!! We told you this was gonna be a proper party next July...
🌳 We’ve also got a UK exclusive stop of the Revival Tour taking over The Forest - curated by Chuck Ragan and featuring performances from Brian Fallon, Dave Hause, and many more for unique collaborative performances. @inmeofficial are playing their headline set from 2007 (our first ever year!!) in full, @themenzingers will be celebrating 10 years of After The Party with us, and we have the returns of @creepercult, @mannequinpussy, @nativejamesuk, @weareunpeople, @fever333, and more, as well as a bunch of our favourite bands from the UK and beyond.

Thank you again to all our amazing friends and fans for all your support for Chad over these past few weeks. All of the tributes and posts have really helped us get through a very tough time. Playing at Epcot right after his passing was emotional but being in a place Chad loved so much with all of you helped us to really grieve and celebrate him together.
Even in his battle, Chad was always thinking of ways to give back to the community and help others less fortunate than he was. As we look ahead to our schedule in 2027 that Chad was a part of planning, our wish is to keep his spirit alive in all that we do, which means giving support to different cancer organizations.
The first organization we are going to partner with is Adrenal Cure Collective. ACC is a patient-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money for research on Adrenocortical Carcinoma, also known as adrenal cancer. Their mission is to significantly increase public awareness and understanding of adrenal cancer and raise substantial funds to support groundbreaking research. This type of cancer affects 1 in a million people, and is what Chad suffered from, so the research is very underfunded.
We will be donating a portion of all NFG profits to the ACC through the end of 2027, and we’re going to kick that off with the Chadball Rest in Peace shirt through our friends at Triple-B Records. Pre-orders are available NOW at the link in our bio, and ALL profits from the sale of this shirt will go directly to the ACC. Go get yours and wear it proudly.
We will see you at Warped Orlando where we have lots of special things planned to honor Chad and celebrate him with all of you!

We want to thank everyone who joined us over the past two nights at EPCOT. We know you have always had our backs, but we’ve never felt it more than this past week and a half.
These were the most emotional shows we’ve ever played and having all of you there with us meant more than we can really put into words. Chad’s spirit was alive in that pavilion!
Thank you for being there with us or watching along at home. And thank you to the entire Disney team for going above and beyond to make these past few days so memorable. ❤️

First off, we want to thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love and tribute posts for Chad these past few days. Seeing how deeply he touched so many lives means everything to us, and we know he would be so proud to see it.
To give ourselves time to process and grieve, we have made the decision to cancel our upcoming appearance at Aftershock Festival. We rarely cancel shows but this felt needed.
Anyone who knew Chad knew that he was a massive Disney fan. Our shows at EPCOT were dates he was so excited for and he was actively planning to be on stage with us there. He had already worked on the setlists with us and was practicing as much as possible to be ready. Because of how much he wanted to play these shows, taking the stage at EPCOT feels like the right way to honor him, and what he would want us to do. Our plan from the beginning with him was to announce our EPCOT sets ahead of time, so we feel it’s only appropriate to share them with you now as we prepare to play in his memory.
Every note we play and every word you sing at EPCOT is for Chad. Thank you all for wrapping us in so much love, understanding, and support as we come together to honor his legacy.
