Since they were babies, my kids have visited the gray whales every year and experienced Mobula season in La Ventana, but somehow, they had never been to Bahía de los Ángeles. This was the summer it finally happened. And when I think about sharing an incredible experience with my kids, I always think of my closest friends. My chosen family, having them there just adds so much more to the magic. @nuttynulty kept capturing special moments during our days on the water. He’s so talented that many times we weren’t even aware of when it was happening. At the end of the trip he asked me a few questions, and then created this gift for me. Whale shark or Gray Whale? 😂 Monday in Baja with my kids and the whale sharks. This whale shark kept circling our boat for about 20 min. He had us feeling like we were back in the lagoons with the Gray Whales! After enjoying him top side, we decided to get in the water hoping his behavior wouldn’t change, and he did not disappoint. He maintained his slow speed and demeanor and it was the best interaction of our trip. There is so much unexpected magic in the ocean.
