I’ve been around old cars my whole life, but I never expected the journey to lead here, to a warehouse in LA filled with history, stories, and people from every corner of Hollywood wandering in just to talk cars. What still surprises me is how similar the conversations are, no matter who’s standing in front of me. Big celebrities, musicians, stunt guys, everyday folks, everyone lights up the same way when they see a car that reminds them of their dad, their childhood, their first big dream. I didn’t build Beverly Hills Car Club to chase fame or attention. I just loved rescuing these machines and giving them a second life. Over the years, word spread, and next thing I knew, actors and directors were stopping by, not for the glamor, but because they knew I’d always have something with soul tucked away in a corner. That’s the part I’m grateful for, the stories, the connections, and getting to share this passion with people who genuinely care. The Hollywood Reporter wrote a piece about all this recently, and seeing my world through their lens was pretty surreal. At the end of the day, I’m still just a guy who loves old cars. Big news for California’s classic car world 🏁 “Jay Leno’s Law” (SB 1392) has officially been signed into law, expanding California’s smog-check exemption to qualifying collector cars from 1976 through 1985. The change won’t happen overnight. Starting January 1, 2028, qualifying 1976–1980 vehicles can become exempt, with another model year added annually until 1985 models are included. The exemption is specifically aimed at limited-use collector vehicles rather than everyday transportation. For California collectors, that means a whole new generation of classics could become considerably easier to own, preserve and keep on the road.
