It’s our 5th birthday! 🎉
Five years ago, @lewishamilton founded Mission 44 with a clear ambition: to help build a fairer, more inclusive future where every young person can thrive.
Since then, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredible young people, partners and communities to turn that ambition into action 💥
From school visits and @f1 track days to meeting with the Prime Minister at @10downingstreet, expanding our work internationally, and investing in organisations creating lasting change, every step has been driven by one shared goal: opening doors for young people.
Together, we’ve reached more than half a million young people around the world, invested over $10 million to drive change, and funded 43 organisations working to break down barriers.
This film celebrates the people, partnerships and moments that have shaped our first five years - and the journey is only just beginning! 🙌

O que dizer de um momento como este?! O programa Prosseguir brilhantemente coordenado por @luandamayra_ e contando com uma equipe fantástica foi concebido em 2018, quando já vislumbrávamos anos muito difíceis que viriam a partir daquele período em que tivemos um ciclo de redução de políticas de permanência e ataques às ações afirmativas nas universidades brasileiras.
Entendemos que as juventudes negras precisavam mais do que nunca de fortalecimento pra sonhar, a partir de tecnologias sociais negras, como o aquilombamento. Mais do que sobreviver, era hora de “se ver possível”. Não por acaso esse é o lema do Prosseguir. A foto que recebe esta legenda é o “se ver possível” do próprio Prosseguir: consolidação e reconhecimento internacional como um programa de desenvolvimento amplo para pessoas negras jovens que já são referências em suas comunidades e territórios. Longe de ser um problema, as juventudes negras são a solução para o Brasil.
Nossos sorrisos na imagem são em si o que temos para ensinar mesmo em tempos difíceis: a escrevivência de nossas trajetórias é a partir de resistência e re(existência) firmes mas que também podem ser alegres a partir de outro fundamento e cosmovisão. Parabéns aos “Prosseguires” por serem sempre tão generosos. Vida muito longa ao Prosseguir!
Um agradecimento especial à Mission 44 por essa parceria e por caminhar conosco na construção de mais oportunidades para que as juventudes negras possam sonhar, florescer e se ver possíveis.

What can we say about a moment like this?!
The Prosseguir Program, brilliantly coordinated by @luandamayra_ and supported by an incredible team, was created in 2018, when we could already see difficult years ahead. Brazil was entering a period marked by cuts to policies that helped students remain in higher education and attacks on affirmative action in Brazilian universities.
We understood that, more than ever, young Black people needed support to keep dreaming, drawing on Black community-based practices and ways of building collective strength, such as aquilombamento. More than surviving, it was time to “see themselves as possible.” It is

🇧🇷💛 Today, Lewis spent time trackside with @mission44 and students from their new São Paulo-based partner @ceert.
The impactful day kicked off with a visit to the @scuderiaferrari garage, where Lewis spent time with students learning about the work being done by Mission 44 and CEERT to advance equity in Brazil and increase access to STEM careers.
Then students headed to an exclusive garage tour, before visiting @pirelli_motorsport’s tyre fitting area.
It was a chance for CEERT students to get a first-hand look at how STEM comes to life in motorsport and the many career opportunities it can offer 🚀🏁
The day was another special reminder of the work Mission 44 is doing to open up opportunities for the next generation in Brazil and around the world 💚

Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 So happy to be back in a place that means so so much to me.
Yesterday, I spent time at a school in the Pedreira district with local students, @mission44 and their partner @ceap.pedreira. Days like this remind me of why the work we do at Mission 44 matters so much. Hearing directly from students about the barriers they face, what drives them to keep going, and their hopes and aspirations for the future help us open up pathways into engineering and STEM careers for the next generation in Brazil.
A huge thank you to everyone at CEAP for making us feel so welcome. It was truly inspiring to see first-hand the positive work happening at the school, meet such bright young people and hear how they’re daring to dream the impossible 💚

It’s race week! 🇧🇷
The São Paulo Grand Prix is approaching, so we’re taking a trip down memory lane to look back at some of our favourite moments from our time there.
During our last visits, we caught up with our incredible partners, met inspiring teachers and students, and saw first-hand the impact of their work in the communities in Brazil.
We also got a taste of life inside the @F1 racetrack. With @LewisHamilton, we visited @ScuderiaFerrari to see the team in action.
And @MercedesAMGF1 gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the skills that go into making it in the world of F1.
This week, we’re looking forward to reconnecting with old partner @ceap.pedreira, meeting new partner @CEERT, and catching up with everyone trackside 🏎️

We loved welcoming @mission44 to the #F1ACADEMY paddock in Austin 💜
As part of their #USGP experience, local students had the chance to meet our drivers, get a closer look at the cars, ask questions and go behind the scenes with a tour of the paddock.

Looking back on a fantastic trip to Austin with @mission44! 🌵🏁
It was wonderful to spend time with students from our Texas based partners @iheartgirlstart and @breakthroughctx at @cota_official for the United States Grand Prix weekend.
The STEM Experience Day, powered by @amazonwebservices, gave young people the chance to hear from leaders across motorsport, including our founder @lewishamilton, explore pathways into STEM, and see first hand what a career in motorsport could look like with @f1 teams from across the grid.
A massive thank you to @scuderiaferrari, @astonmartinf1, @haasf1team, @mercedesamgf1 and @redbullracing for being so welcoming!
It was also an impactful trip off the track. I was delighted to be able to sit down with @forbes’ @monicadrrprof to discuss Mission 44’s growing work in Austin, and @bbcsport to bring to life our work opening doors into STEM and motorsport careers around the world. And a special thank you to Ferrari for inviting me on stage to speak at the Scuderia Ferrari HP Paddock Club ♥️
As Mission 44 continues to deepen our presence in the US, I’m excited about the partnerships and opportunities we’re building to help more young people see what’s possible for their future and dream the impossible 🚀
