GoPro Mission 1 ILS vs RED Komodo-X - Blind Test (answer in comments) $700 camera vs $7000 camera! I’ve been testing the Mission 1 ILS against the RED Komodo-X and I’m consistent blown away by the results. Full review of the GoPro later today! Settings are a bit different between each shot, I’ll expand in the comments if people are curious but tried to match them head to head on settings and lenses where possible. No color correction besides REDWideGamut to Rec709 for the RED using Davinci’s builtin RED lut. Excited to test the @gopro Mission 1 ILS! Throwing it in the deep end and testing it against my RED Komodo X. For those that don’t understand: Me get new toy. Me happy. Me try break toy. Me glue toy to big toy. Me try break both. Why? Me go where pros go. With the different sensor sizes I’m trying to match equivalent FOV as best I can from the same lens set, Minolta Rokkors. Komodo gets a rehoused 85mm and the GoPro gets a stock 58mm with a speedbooster. For those who don’t understand: Me want make two look same. Hard. But! Two glass from same cave? Smart. Big get big.
