During my last trip to #timorleste capturing visuals of wildlife and culture for the prime ministers office our team had the incredible opportunity to film this massive bull #spermwhale escorting two young calves in between deep dives. We didn’t set off that morning with an expectation to film cetaceans, but the day evolved quickly and the @compassdiving team made a quick pivot and got our film crew into perfect position for a couple drops. It all happened very fast, but I swear time slowed down as the whales emerged from the blue and gently swam past our group. I couldn’t help but feel minuscule next to this massive sentient being, it’s incredibly humbling to be in the presence of such powerful and gentle animals.
