Ah man, this is a lot. Sway, Derek, thank you for everything you’ve done for me. You believed in me when many didn’t. You gave me a chance when many didn’t. Musically people laughed me off as a joke but you saw my potential and helped me grow as an artist. From smoke and mirrors to no sleep to Lamborghini you were there to help. It was so crazy because I was a fan of you. I remember I used your songs in my top 5 goals of the week videos back in the day and then the fact that you reached out to me to not only to thank me but to also help me musically…You were one of a kind man. I wish you were still here. 44 is too young to leave. You still had so much to do. You were like a father figure to me. Whenever I had problems or issues, I would go to your studio in London for advice and you always knew what to say. This one hurts a lot. Just feel like this year is really testing me man. Life right now is just trying to make me break. But I know you’d say that I’m a fighter and that I’ll get through it, however it just gets harder and harder man. You’re a king Sway. I’ll never forget you. My heart breaks for all your children that will no longer have you there. And all your friends and family that will no longer get to see you anymore. It’s not fair. I know this news has been hard to deal with. I know that some people don’t want to believe it. But it’s real. I will be leaving the Sidemen. Writing this is just sad. I’m sad. Of course I’m sad. Going through these images, looking back at the years…it’s sad. We’ve done so much man. We’ve made so much content together, we entertained so many people over the years, we’ve done so much for charity and we’ve made so many people on this planet happy. And I don’t regret any of it. I had the time of my life. It’s been such an awesome crazy journey. I love these guys, and they will always be my friends for life. Now lemme speak directly to the boys. I know you’re all grieving in your own way because of my decision, but you knew it was coming for a while. And I know some of you are angry, some of you don’t want to accept it, some of you might even hate me, and some of you are just upset. It’s ok, I’ll always be here for you. I always have been here for you. Don’t see this as the end, see this as a new era or a new beginning. Be optimistic. Think positively. You have an audience that adore you. An audience that enjoy the content. An audience that have grown with us. You’re all very entertaining so don’t think otherwise. You’ve done this without me before and it was great haha. But in the end you know how I am, so you know that I have to do this for my sanity. It’s still so mad that all of this started from all those Skype calls. Trains ftw hahaha.
