Congratulations, Íce! Really enjoyed your concert last night at the Music Museum! Yung repertoire of signature songs from hit musicals from a lot of Disney movies and Broadway is such a perfect fit for your beautiful, rich tone.
One of the most heartfelt moments of the night was your kuwento midway through the show, when you shared how singing has always been your personal therapy, your refuge, and what keeps you going. You also spoke about how much your voice means to you, and I hope you know just how much we love your voice, too! Your music provides that same sense of refuge for your audience. There’s a certain calm and comfort that your voice brings, and being in the same space, watching you perform and hearing you sing, is such a blessing.🙏🏻
There’s something truly special about the voice God has blessed you with, and reflecting on the story you shared with us, continuing to be a good steward of that gift will sustain you through every season of your life.❤️

🎶🩷 An inspiring day of songwriting, mentorship, and music with 21 young Bicolano musicians! From melody and lyric writing to exploring industry opportunities and drawing inspiration from their own culture and roots, spent the day learning, creating, and jamming together. Bringing Angat Sining to Bicol is part of Angat Buhay’s mission to provide more opportunities for regional talents and empower them to share their own stories through music.

processing my emotions….
The 1st and 2nd nights were already very special but the 3rd night of @reginevalcasid’s FINALE was the most emotional. So many people were in tears, and I lost count of the standing ovations. Mahaba na yung standing ovation sa opening, and throughout the show, halos bawat song, pati yung mga heartfelt spiels, may standing ovation. It was as if the audience was trying to find every possible way to tell her: you have given us so much, and we are not ready to let you go.
Regine is an industry in herself. Walang ibang makakapalit sa kanya. Her reign remains undisputed. No one has taken her crown, and no one ever could. But she gets to decide when to step down, on her own terms, even if the rest of us, who will always see her as THE Queen, even if, for us, there’s never going to be a right time to say goodbye.
And when she sang “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” iba na yung naging context nung song. Parang she was telling us, felt like her way of assuring us that even if she’s saying goodbye to some things, she’s not really leaving us. For years, we’ve seen Regine as this almost invincible star, with a voice that can stand alongside the best in the world. We have watched her do things with her voice na pang superhuman. But what moved the audience most this time was seeing her in her most vulnerable, as she speaks from the heart, made her feel closer to her audience than ever. It’s so moving see someone we have always regarded as larger than life stand onstage with such honesty.
And that cathedral-like set? She really brought us to church. For the fans, it was the Church of Regine. But I think it meant something much deeper. All three nights began with prayer, and she made it clear that God has always been at the center of her journey. She openly acknowledged that her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the One who sustained her all these years, and that she would need Him to sustain her throughout the show. Our beloved Asia’s Songbird may be saying goodbye to some of the songs that defined her journey, but she’s not going anywhere, only making room for what comes next, with faith and gratitude at the heart of it all.

Wow Lord!!! To you I give ALL the glory for the award I received tonight.
I say thank You for my being able to celebrate music with the likes of Sir Jose Mari Chan, @ogiealcasid, @bini_ph, @cupofjoemusic_ , @officialsb19. All of whom shine in their respective ways.
Plus the people who have become such an integral part of my career… @kathleendygo of @universalrecordsph, Ramon Chuaing of Polyeast, , sir Vic Del Rosario of Viva Records, and @jonathanmanalo of Star Music.
@monf_2017 and all other musical arrangers for all the arrangements and rearrangements that have kept my music alive. Thank you @angeli.valenciano for being with me every step of the way. I love you hon ♥️♥️♥️ And my son @paolovalenciano who has directed the most memorable and meaningful concerts I’ve ever done. Your dad loves you so much son♥️♥️♥️
To be given this Concert Artist Award this year means a whole lot to me🥹To You be the glory my Lord. I’ll never know why You have chosen to sustain me through all these years. I’m truly and totally humbled to have been given this recognition. I love you Jesus…thank you so very very much 🙏🏼😊🤍

China was already pushing the narrative na ang Pilipinas ang “troublemaker of the region” noong July pa. Tapos, just a few months later, kanina lang our own Vice President is parroting the same propaganda, even as she vehemently denies being a national security threat. Yet this apparent alignment with China raises serious questions about possible betrayal of our national interest.
Given the circumstances, this raises serious questions about our national security and whose interests the Dutertes are ultimately serving.
Sobrang halata na talaga.
Too obvious to ignore.
