[2024 @ 15.57%] God knows how I first reacted when the sweet pretty lady who later became my girlfriend was introduced to me. I was like, Lord, ang layo taga-Angono. 😁 But courage lorded over fear to pursue an MDR: medyo distant relationship. Each time I visit her in her hometown, whether planned or by surprise, I travel several miles away from home to what was once an uncharted territory. The thousands of steps become immaterial, most especially yesterday, the 25th of February. Because yesterday was our first anniversary as official couple! 💪 And it's specially marked with the rings you see: these promise rings also serve as our purity rings. Yep, we are choosing to remain celibate until the Lord's appointed time of our marriage. It's been one year of love @shinee_crisostomo! [2026 @ 56.53%] Choosing to highlight the good moments through these images. Note that behind my smiles, I was dealing with extreme demotivation in some sections of my life, but thankfully I have these peeps and events to conceal and eventually wash the lethargy away. First up is the Palawan trip. Away from our usual places of celebrating, Shine and I marked our 40th month being official. She also got to celebrate her birthday there! This is the second destination I got to tick off my personal travel wishlist. [Swipe right or tap on photos to see individual captions.] While on our Palawan trip, such a shame my brother Miguel's college graduation ceremony coincided with my vacation (can't rebook, sad), but I got to watch him via livestream. I thank God for him. He did not take my support for granted. In those crucial college years, never had I ever reminded him to study well; he knew what to do. And now, he's finished with his studies! Hurray! BTW, it was my sister Mary and her boyfriend who joined Miguel in the ceremonies. The image at the bottom part was a stolen shot by Shine. Good pic though! Then, I finally got to catch up with friends I have not seen for so long! I did isolate myself of late but when my phase of demotivation came, I convinced myself I have to meet with close peeple I have already trusted for many years. Here I have a brother from another parent, a good college schoolmate in China, sioti Matt. Oh man, we spent an entire Sunday afternoon talking about life and career updates. Not seeing for more than a decade, surely we have a stack of stored stories to tell. He just came from a fun run that morning, I really appreciate him making time. I also started getting reunited with some of my high school classmates, and they got to meet Shine at the same time! Felt different because back then I never took chances to bond with them outside the classroom and lessons. Sure we had lengthy sessions of group study, especially for a Maths exam, but hanging out was not my thing. I would always decline their invitation to watch movies (💰). [2026 @ 34.25%] In 2011, when Friendster was about to shut down, I was fortunate to have backed up my files and photos from that site. Here are just some of them. Photos from Baguio, a classroom from my high school, Mall of Asia Music Hall for our 110th school anniv, random kitten, Typhoon Ondoy floods in Binondo the day after, and my selfies and other me stuff - these pictures painted a thousand words, or in this case, a thousand memories. Socmed and selfies were not actual words then, media outlets used "social networking sites" and "self portraits." To Gen Zers, yes, that's how grainy the pics are from the late 2000s. The music I chose comes from that era too.
