What a day for #TeamTurn2! 💙👟Congratulations to our runners, Jim and Grace O’Rourke and Rafael Castillo, on completing the TCS New York City Marathon!
A huge thank you to everyone who took on this challenge in support of #Turn2’s mission to help young people lead healthy lifestyles, pursue academic success and flourish as leaders in their communities. We couldn’t be prouder of our runners, and loved cheering them on alongside our friends at the PitCCh In Foundation!

Our Kalamazoo #JetersLeaders got into the Halloween spirit at Kzoo Parks’ annual Halloween Forest! 🎃👻From assisting with registration and check-in to leading activity and game stations, the Leaders helped make the event a fun-filled experience for local families. It was a great opportunity to give back, connect with the community and make lasting memories!

Sometimes, the biggest feelings are the ones we can’t see.
Our Turn 2 Us program, with support from @nyphospital, is hosting professional development workshops to help educators and caregivers recognize signs of internalizing behaviors and better understand when a student may be struggling beneath the surface.
This Halloween, we’re taking a closer look at the “masks” students may wear and how we can create safe, supportive spaces where every student feels seen, understood and comfortable reaching out for help.

The New York #JetersLeaders kicked off a new program year with two days of connection, collaboration and community! Day one focused on sharing ideas and setting goals for the year ahead, while day two brought the Leaders to NYC Parks’ Fall Fest, where they gave back by helping with event setup, arts and crafts, pumpkin picking, a dog obstacle course and more.
From strengthening relationships to giving back to their community, #Turn2’s Leaders are ready to make a difference all year long!

New York Jeter’s Leader alumna Oumou and Kalamazoo Jeter’s Leader alumnus Gavin recently joined @allriseofficial for a special webinar, “Leadership in the Classroom.” Together, they shared advice on overcoming challenges, what motivates them and the importance of building trust.
We continue to be inspired by their passion for leadership and giving back. We’re grateful to alumni like Oumou and Gavin for continuing to show up, share their experiences and make a difference in their communities. James O’Rourke, a member of Turn 2’s New York Resource Council, and his daughter Grace are putting the finishing touches on their marathon training as they prepare to tackle 26.2 miles together at the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon.
With race day fast approaching, they’re not just getting their miles in. They’re also helping Team Turn 2 get closer to its $30,000 fundraising goal, turning their shared marathon journey into an opportunity to make a difference for young people.

The final miles of training are here! With the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon just around the corner, Rafael Castillo, New York Jeter’s Leaders Program Coordinator, is putting in the work to get ready for race day while helping Team Turn 2 close in on its $30,000 fundraising goal.
As a first-time dad, Rafael is especially motivated by the opportunity to help the next generation build healthy, successful futures. Now, as he enters the final stretch of marathon prep, every donation brings Team Turn 2 one step closer to its goal and helps support young people on their own paths to success.

When we create opportunities for young people, everyone has the chance to learn, grow and make an impact.
Through #Turn2’s partnership with Monroe University, Jeter’s Leaders gain access to scholarships, mentorship and college-readiness support as they prepare for their next chapter, while Monroe students gain valuable hands-on experience through opportunities to put their skills into action.
Students from Monroe’s Entertainment Media Program recently brought that partnership to life by producing this video highlighting Turn 2’s graduating class of #JetersLeaders. We’re proud to celebrate this year’s graduates and the students who helped tell their stories.
