When Nike asked me to collaborate on their new Air Max DN my first thought was how do I integrate beauty into sport. To me they seemed to be at odds - sport is raw, aggressive, powerful and makeup instinctively feels artistic, contrived and precious. I could never have imagined how deeply wrong I was. Beauty is paramount to helping the incredible athletes that graced this campaign. It gives them the confidence and prowess that they need to go for gold. Whether it’s a ritualistic manicure before a race, a specific hairstyle that gives them the fierce game face they need or a specific eyeshadow colour to match their gymnastics leotard, makeup is essential to winning. Beauty rituals at their most powerful — I wanted to design shoes that didn’t steal the show, but allowed the beauty and integrity of the athletes to shine though - they are the true stars and what they wear should elevate and amplify. @nike thank you ❤️ I can’t wait to show you the campaign and lipstickkkkkkk!!!!! . @rrotatorr is a destination for chrome, leather and distinctive vintage furniture. For our coffee pop-up at The Painting Rooms over the weekend, we partnered with them to create a sleek, minimal atmosphere that brings together their unique pieces with the STUDIO IRON vision. Next we packed up our camels and headed to the Altai Mountains to stay with the Tuva tribe, a small minority of nomadic mountain dwellers that have lived in this region for hundred of years, living off Yak, horse, sheep and goat meat and milk… No veg. We hiked up 4500m on scree like terrain to look out on 14km of epic glacier and prayed to the mountain spirits! 🐐 17 Jul 2026
