After 9 days of intricate hand-pleating and draping, the ‘Scuplting the Unspoken’ gown is created live inside our exhibition at the @brooklynmuseum. Thank you New York, to all the visitors that were a part of the pleating! Embodying Iris’s collaborative making process, the most memorable moments from these conversations will be embroidered into the interior of the dress. Symphonic Bloom ~ Iris van Herpen × Maison Perrier-Jouët ‘Symphonic Bloom’ entangles and unfolds around the Belle Époque cuvée for Maison @perrierjouet. Its sculptural haute couture drapings echo the hypnotic dances of Loïe Fuller, while drawing inspiration from the subterranean soundscapes of the land, materialising subtle sounds and vibrations through cymatics, where vibration becomes movement #IrisvanHerpen #HauteCouture #SymphonicBloom 27 Oct 2026

Architectonics in motion ~ The daring ‘Oceanix’ technique is developed to paint bursting patterns in space. These graphic polygon patterns explode skillfully from order to chaos through the movement of the body, as the polygons are deconstructed in air by the models moving. Fine fiberglass rods are carefully balanced to distribute meticulous weight and vibration into geodesic bursts, creating an interplay of fluidity and fragmentation. #IrisvanHerpen #HauteCouture #Architectonics 17 Oct 2026

Creative Constellations ~ One of our favorite creative journeys with longtime collaborator @casey_curran led to the creation of the Lumorphosis gown. Often, the most beautiful parts of the creative process are those rarely shared; the experiments, the unexpected discoveries and the quiet alchemy of the making. Soft laser-cut velvet was delicately inlaid by hand with skin toned silk, while a choreography of dragonfly inspired wings were hand-sewn onto the bodice with a golden veined armature. A closer look into Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses at the @BrooklynMuseum in New York. Throughout the galleries, more than 140 Haute Couture creations are placed in dialogue with contemporary artworks, scientific artifacts, and natural history specimens, bringing together fashion, art, science, and innovation through works by artists including Courtney Mattison, Wim Delvoye, Agostino Arrivabene, Philip Beesley, Rogan Brown, Casey Curran, and Nick Knight, alongside fossils, skeletons, and other scientific and natural specimens. Stepping into a new dimension with the iconic footwear of the Sonic Starquakes collection, created in collaboration with @UnitedNude. Look 1 Hundreds of iridescent glass spheres, shifting delicately in scale, are fused to illusion tulle with UV light, dissolving up the leg like suspended droplets. Look 2 Fine silver chains are handwoven through hundreds of eyelets, dissolving into a suspended heelless silhouette, with cascading chains animating each step. A glimpse behind the sculptural process of the Starquake gown ~ To create the Starquake gown, nebula-red chiffon was pleated into half-wheels and suspended within moon-curved boning of laser-cut carbon fibre, allowing the drapery to move like celestial mist. At ‘Sculpting the Senses’ at the @BrooklynMuseum in New York, over a hundred Iris van Herpen looks can be explored through their tactility, silhouettes and improbable materials. On the body, sculpture becomes a persona, transformed by sensibility and individuality. Their story is entwined with the women who have embodied them.
