Set out on a musical journey with the city’s most popular DJs. Explore the museum’s special exhibitions and collections. This month’s lineup is organized by Next Level Events, featuring @clubfro and @iknowdjlv. 🔮 Art & Myth | November 13 | 6–9 p.m. It’s Friday the 13th and the inaugural Art & program will explore the connection between Art & Myth. From the superstitious to the supernatural, join us for an evening showcasing the works and stories inspired by myths, legends, and lore. 🎷 Friday Jazz | November 20 | 6–10 p.m. Don’t miss an evening of live jazz at the High every third Friday. Enjoy a drink and light bites, head to the galleries to explore the museum’s works on view, and join a docent-led tour for a detailed look at the collection. Basquiat’s ‘Blue Ribbon’ paintings are coming to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Conventional narratives around Jean-Michel Basquiat (American, 1960–1988) tend to emphasize his meteoric rise as a self-taught prodigy, often placing him outside the art historical canon rather than in dialogue with postmodern ideas and artistic networks. Organized by @princetonuniversityartmuseum, this exhibition reframes Basquiat’s legacy by emphasizing his deep engagement with ideas around appropriation, identity, and reproduction. “Basquiat, the Blue Ribbon Paintings, and the Art of Reproduction” opens February 19, 2027.
