Editing + colour theory are such an important part of how I bring my photographs to life, and I’m excited to share more of my creative process as an official @vsco Ambassador. 💭👩‍🎨✨🎨🤍📷 Post production and editing always feels like the final stages of finishing a painting. It’s where a moment I’ve photographed can become something more, something final, using colour, tone and light to translate the feeling of being there into a world of its own. I’ve been be testing out the new VSCO Studio Pro tools, including the style match tool to explore colour palettes and batch editing to bring a considered look across a series of photographs. Some of my favourite presets, which I’ve used for years, now have a seamless flow between desktop editing and the VSCO app. Making my editing process feel even more connected, being able to refining individual images while bringing an entire series together. This process is where I play around with colour, adjust the tones, and bring out certain details until the image feels ready. There are many more new creative tools in VSCO One I’ve been using to collect visual inspiration, explore ideas and help run my business and I’m looking forward to sharing more of my workflow, favourite tools and the ways I use them. A little escape to my favourite island in Australia... ✨☁️🌊 This month was my fourth time back to King Island, tucked between Tasmania and mainland Australia, it still feels like one of Australia’s best kept secrets. Surrounded by wild coastlines, windswept beaches all to ourselves at @basslodge_kingisland a beautiful hideaway that makes this stay so special. Slow mornings in the sauna, soaking in the hot tub, beach combing, coastal walks, and simply taking time to feel alive.
