A little Kaibab 160 Bikepack for ya. 3 hard days and 2 fun nights with some cool outdoor people. With its miles and miles of continuous singletrack, and intimate views of one of Earth’s seven wonders is why I call this one of the greatest ultra loops in the West, without question. I was concerned about fire damage but it turned out to be of no consequence for bike travel. Get your ass to the North Rim.

Some of the cool stuff I’ve done and seen since getting off of social. Out of respect for the archaeology and for the ancient peoples who built these enduring structures, I won’t publish the location, but I’d be happy to show you some time.

Run hike with @lei.mack and Kaibab out to Reavis Ranch for apple picking resulted in nothing more than a beautiful day in the Supersition Wilderness with some beautiful people, but 0 apples to be found. It seems a harsh Spring and Summer took its toll on the apple yield.

Our semi-annual Grand Canyon backpacking epic certainly continued the tradition of exploration and awe. A lot of last-minute shuffling took place this time with tropical depression remnants in the forecast, and the sidelining of my adventure buddy @andy_wentz due to a major injury, it was clear that I was to expect the unexpected.
All in all the rain didn’t hamper us too badly, and the addition of a new adventure buddy
@xchipx proved to be a good idea in more way than one when his rain canopy kept us dry at night when other means failed. 30 seconds of an insta reel can’t even begin to offer a glimpse of this special place. Until springtime.
