The story continues beyond the page. Swipe through the details of our Limited Edition of The Handmaid’s Tale and The Testaments to discover what you may have missed. 🔴 Bodoniana-bound by Graphicom in Italy, each volume combines a Poletta leather spine with buckram sides, screen-printed with a design by Anna and Elena Balbusso. (@balbusso_twins) The Balbusso twins created eight full-colour illustrations for each volume, including a brand-new artwork for The Handmaid’s Tale. Both volumes are protected by a clamshell box bound in metallic paper and printed with a design by the artists. A new foreword by bestselling author Naomi Alderman spans both novels. The text and illustrations were printed at Grafiche Veneziane (@grafiche_veneziane), Venice’s last remaining printer, before travelling by boat to Vicenza to be bound. Each copy carries a letterpress-printed limitation label signed by Anna and Elena Balbusso. Silver-foiled top edges complete both volumes with a final flash of light.
