It’s your favorite photographer and you probably don’t ever see me that much because I’m behind the camera. Every now and then I do get in front of the camera so you guys can recognize me. Here’s 3 things you should know about me ✨ 1. @shootswithcannon took these photos of me as test shots before a collab photoshoot event we did. Test shots are very important to do! I even do them so I’m not spending a lot of time during a photoshoot to adjust my settings 2. Each pose is pretty easy to do. 3 Ways I Help Clients Feel Comfortable in Front of the Camera Being in front of a camera can feel a little awkward sometimes, especially if you’re not used to it. You don’t have to come to your session knowing how to pose or have everything figured out. Here’s how I approach my sessions and why I want you to enjoy the experience just as much as the final photos. #focusedlensphotography #photographytipsandtricks #nycphotographer #femalephotographer #portraitphotography 1. Set the vibe I encourage my clients to create a playlist with some of their favorite songs. Music can make such a difference in helping you relax and feel natural in front of the camera. 2. Let yourself settle in I’m not expecting you to walk in and immediately feel comfortable in front of the camera. I like giving my clients time to warm up, get familiar with the space, and just ease into the session. I also enjoy capturing natural interactions, laughter, and candid moments. Everything doesn’t have to be perfectly posed! 3. A little guidance goes a long way You don’t have to know what to do with your hands, how to stand, or what pose to try next. I’ll help you along the way. It’s literally my job and I want you to feel comfortable trying things out without feeling like you have to get everything right. More importantly, I want you to enjoy your session just as much as you enjoy seeing your final photos. I want you to look back at your pictures and remember how good you felt in that moment. So if you’ve been wanting to book a shoot but feel a little nervous about being in front of the camera, don’t overthink it.
