”Both silver and gold very easily began sinking into the glass as the gather remained hot. This is the beginning of a colloidal state occurring. The metal nano particles easily entered the molten glass matrix and you can obtain a colloidal precious metal colored glass like it has been done for centuries on soda lime glass with silver, gold, manganese, copper and many other coloring ions.“

2nd #silverfume one on a lighter color. I'm thinking I gotta try it on some opaque glass here soon. And maybe overlays to come? Not sure, but still fun.

Having fun with these slides! #silverfume over malachite. First time fuming on color. I can see why people like it. The immediate pop is bangin.

Sliding into the giant bowls. Gonna have to pull it back a bit. #silverfume #glassbowls

Slide no.2. After ripping out the first two, I finally got that 6 star in. First lip wrap on the torch, faked it even ;) The seal is good, but could be better. I hope to pick up some tricks on the whole making your own down stem thing. Happy with the funky spaceyness of it. Still, mostly #silverfume with some accents of color. Dope beats by @_rc_peters

Bowl slide no.1 I am curious how it works! Those @griffintools for the down stem shaping and holding work pretty good. Gotta figure out a good way to keep it in the graphite mold. I saw someone use graphite paper on a video, so i will have to give that a try. The funishing touch will be the @jbhohemoth grinding tool for the seal. I want to see if it takes off the fume pattern in the down stem. If it doesn't break in the annealer. Thanks to you two tool makers :) #silverfume #bowlslide

This and a couple of cups and extra pokers became my first drop. At least this is what I hear those cool pipe markers on the gram calling it. Im used to dropping glass for sure, but not this way. So if you want something, you gotta go check out @highglassgallery_klausgaertner and talk to your man @combo_lungs here in #Berlin. They are working to bring heightened awareness to glass making as it is in Germany. They carry lots of quality #roor products there and a handful of locals work that now includes my shit! Although I'm more of a transplant living in Berlin, like most of us here, but I think my work still found a spot in the high glass gallery.

Think I found something in that poker function study. Lacing some black in key spots when fuming has advantages. Good fun. #$ I cant believe there are no posts with #$, or it doesnt work. #silverfume

More coffee or tea cups. Dialing in that #pourovercoffee size as well as smaller sizes with the length of start I use. All #silverfume , so of course the darker your drink, the more the color pops! Best #foryourcoffee #berlincoffee

Pipe no.22. Not sure what its called. It stands and has a sherlock looking spout thing. My pipe lingo is not very technical. But it does have 5 sections and three of them are northstar ghost incased with gilson crushed opal. Cant believe that worked. Should have got a close up of that. And of course #silverfume sections...and a honeycomb and a black opal encasement.
