This weekend, my MetroCard machine officially made its final stop. A couple weeks ago, I partnered with Facebook Marketplace and listed it for $3 and asked New Yorkers to tell me why they deserved it. After reading through all the submissions, I decided to sell it to Art Bodega on the Lower East Side. It’s a neighborhood community hub that brings people together through art, creativity, workshops, and events, while making art more accessible to New Yorkers.
