“Yo Soy Jíbara, Yo Soy Jíbaro, Aquí Estamos Y No Nos Vamos.” This video is more than a promotion for the 8th Annual Knickerbocker Avenue Puerto Rican Day Parade. It is the beginning of us telling our story, honoring our roots, celebrating our culture, and ensuring that our traditions continue for future generations. A special thank you to artist @dannycortesnyc for lending his talent and helping bring this vision to life. Special thanks to @elisabetvelasquezpoetry for writing and beautifully reciting the poem featured as the voiceover, bringing this year’s theme to life through her powerful words.
