Instagram Rings is back for year two, honoring creators who take bold creative risks. This year’s winners were chosen by a panel of global icons, including São Paulo-based twin brothers Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo, known around the world as @osgemeos.
Translating to “the twins” in Portuguese, OSGEMEOS first learned to play and communicate through art as kids, then found their voice in the 1980s through hip-hop, graffiti and Brazil’s cultural explosion. Today their universe spans murals, painting, drawing, sculpture, installations and music, rendered in vivid color, patterns and their signature yellow characters, symbols of universality inspired by reality and shared dreams.
For the brothers, creative courage starts before anyone is watching. They spent years developing a visual world of their own, in the streets of São Paulo, with no guarantee. That’s the instinct they looked for in this year’s winners: creators who keep making the work because it’s theirs to make.
Stay tuned later this month where we’ll announce the 2026 Rings winners here on Instagram. ✨

Instagram Rings returns for its second year, celebrating those who aren’t afraid to take creative chances. The 2026 winners were selected by some of the world’s most iconic figures, including fashion designer Emily Adams Bode Aujla of @bode.
Emily played a special role by designing this year’s physical Rings award, a four-leaf clover cut from Connemara marble, a rare green stone from the west coast of Ireland. In folklore, the stone is believed to bring good fortune to its wearer. She was inspired by her own collection of commemorative jewelry, from lockets and good luck charms to heirlooms and school rings.
The result is an award that honors creative courage, craft and impact. Later this month, we’ll reveal the 2026 Rings winners on Instagram and we can’t wait to introduce them to the world.✨

👥 What does it mean to be human? Artist @kanemaki_yoshitoshi (Yoshitoshi Kanemaki) explores that question through his wooden sculptures, creating his own vision of life through multi-dimensional portraits with multiple faces and arms. “Even when I am having a friendly conversation with someone face to face, I tend to wonder where that person’s true feelings really lie,” says Yoshitoshi. “The idea of expressing, through sculpture, the uncertainty and hesitation created by various biases was the first step toward the ambivalent expressions that characterize my work today.”
Yoshitoshi uses traditional Japanese Buddhist woodcarving techniques like ichiboku-zukuri, where a sculpture is carved from a single block of wood, and yosegi-zukuri, where multiple pieces of wood are joined together, to craft his work. Through his sculptures, Yoshitoshi is also looking for deeper ways to connect with viewers. “My works mainly focus on personal emotions, but when we broaden their interpretation, they inevitably connect to the various issues of our time,” he says. “I continue to search for forms of expression that can speak to the hearts of people living in the present day—people of all ages and genders, across national and cultural boundaries.

#MakingThings 🍬 Hyperspecific, intricately crafted, and always wearable: Every piece from artist @gabbyhe_ (Gabby He) tells an unexpected story. Gabby, who draws on her experience studying textiles at @risd1877, dreams up whimsical scenarios and captures them in wearable pieces of art, from the surreal “A Portrait Painting From the 17th Century” to a candy-laden “Handing Out Candy Costume.”
“I’m inspired by everyday observations, art, internet culture and unexpected connections,” says Gabby. “I love turning familiar things into something playful and unusual.” Using traditional materials like fabric and not-so-traditional materials like foam, toys and found objects, Gabby embraces experimentation in her creative process to bring her imaginative ideas to fruition. “The greatest joy is being able to do what I love for a living, bringing all of my random creative ideas to life,” she shares. “The biggest challenge is probably space! I live in a studio apartment, so finding room for all my craft materials and projects can be tricky.” ✂️

Join us and the artists behind @thepulpgirls (Brianna and Cailie) as we watch the mysteries of Scorpio season unfold. Fearless in the face of the unknown, this celestial scorpion brings an intensity that sets the tone for the season. “Consider this your invitation to face the things you’d normally shy away from!” say Brianna and Cailie. “You can indeed survive discomfort, trusting that you will grow more powerful from it.” To channel the energy of Scorpio and spooky season, they’ve matched each zodiac sign with a nostalgic Halloween knickknack for a little trip down memory lane. 🦂

#MakingThings 🦇 Using everyday mediums like cardboard, paper mâché and paint, artist @dorque.world (Jasmine Archie) makes her imagination take flight. From retractable bat wings to ship-shaped headwear, Jasmine creates sculptures and wearable pieces that capture the magical world she lives in. “I started as a photographer, and did that for over 10 years. Over time, I started exploring other ways of making things, and eventually gave myself the freedom to follow whatever I was curious about,” she says. “That’s really how Dorque World came to be, and it’s still constantly evolving.”
Each piece is a journey of its own, as Jasmine explores new ideas, techniques and materials to bring her creative vision to life. “I usually start with a very rough idea and just start building,” she says. “A lot of the final piece gets figured out as I go, which is my favorite part.” 🎨

🏀 Meet @wnbaart, aka Thee W Artíste (Meg), the Chicago-based illustrator documenting your favorite WNBA moments, one googly eye at a time. 👀✨
A fan since the league tipped off in 1996, Meg has become a favorite among women’s hoops fans for her signature cartoons that turn viral game moments into instant classics. “I’ve been drawing and painting since I was very young. I drew pictures of smiling clouds before my second birthday,” says Meg.
By day, she works full-time in healthcare. By night, she’s illustrating the W under her online moniker, managing the now viral fan page. For WNBA Finals Game 3, @threads hosted a Watch Party in collaboration with @togethxr celebrating women’s sports. Through her @raybanmeta glasses, Meg drew the joy and community in the room in real time, including favorites and the evening MC’s @sydjcolson and @tplai55 of @unsupervisedsydt.
Swipe through to see the night through @wnbaart’s eyes. 💛

🫛 It was a charming little morning of creativity, community and connection at Dreamworld, the Brooklyn flagship of handmade jewelry brand @haricotvert (Haricot Vert). Upstairs in CraftNook, the store’s dedicated workshop space, our Meta team gathered a group of local creators to craft bespoke charm keychains from Haricot Vert’s collection of collage-inspired baubles, all while sipping special coffees and matchas from @dreambeanbk. Along the way, they captured a hands-free, first-person view of their collective creative process with their @metaglasses, from picking out charms to linking pieces together for their one-of-a-kind keychains.
Founded by artist @kelsarmie (Kelsey Armstrong), Haricot Vert brings jewelry-making together with tactile, mixed-media craft in its whimsical, handmade universe. With a hands-on charm shop, in-store cafe, and dedicated workshop space, Haricot Vert’s Dreamworld has grown into a vibrant hub for Brooklyn’s creative community. ✨

✨ The world of @ayrastarr’s Starrgirl is now a custom filter in Edits. Available globally today, only in the Edits app.
Starrgirl started as a passage Ayra wrote, everything after that was brought to life with a wide circle of like-minded creatives. Among the many collaborators who shaped the world were @rudy, who built the creative bible that turned her vision into something her team could work from; @axlejozeph, who shot the album cover featuring the purple Gele she decided to wear the night before; @melkiaur, who directed Tornado, the most avant-garde video she’s ever made; and @michaeljunioro, who was also part of the creative journey that shaped it all.
Bringing it into Edits worked the same way. Our design team spent time in that world, learned what makes it feel like Starrgirl, then built the filter alongside Ayra and her collaborators so it would belong there too.
“The Starrgirl filter is a continuation of the Starrgirl era. I hope it makes everyone feel that Starrgirl energy.”
Open Edits, tap the filter tray, and you’ll find it pinned at the top. Put a little Starrgirl energy into whatever you’re making, whether it’s a clip you’re cutting or a note to your friends. 💜

💡 Hardware engineer and creative tinkerer @buildwbrendan (Brendan) creates playful, interactive tech designed to spark a little joy. From an intuitively interactive lightbulb to a portal that conjures a replica of his hand, Brendan brings his background in mechatronics to brainstorm, engineer, and build his way into digital magic. “Most of the ideas on their own are pretty simple and easy to implement,” says Brendan. “But I enjoy combining them together to create these experiences.”
For Brendan, inspiration can come from anywhere, from cinematic theatrics to the mechanics of everyday life. “I like looking at what was made with animations or special effects and thinking if I can do that in real life,” says Brendan. “It just gets me thinking in different directions, even if I don’t end up making the same thing. I also am just constantly thinking about how the world around me works.” 🤖
