Little Romey has made several videos like this and it shatters my heart. My babies miss their poppa. My husband of 18 years was misdiagnosed for 8 months. There was a clear tumor in his knee that was misdiagnosed as a hematoma for 8 long months. While Jerell was doing the endless prescribed physical therapy, the cancer was spreading. Justice is coming. My husband of 18 years, Jerell, was misdiagnosed in January of 2023. He had clear cancer in his knee and for 8 months, the specialists misdiagnosed it as a hematoma/ACL tear. When he was finally diagnosed properly, it was too late. He suffered horribly and lost his life because of negligence and now justice is coming. Please follow my journey. Navigating my own grief while also managing the grief of 3 very different children is hard. My youngest son, Roman, is having the hardest time at the moment. He doesn't understand where his dad went or why we can't go visit him. My heart breaks for him. My husband of 18 years was misdiagnosed in January of 2023. He was continually misdiagnosed for the following 8 months which gave the cancer a chance to grow out of control. By the time he was properly diagnosed, it was too late. This is why I never stopped talking to him. I talked Jerell through his transition to Heaven in March and when I took this video, I knew he could hear me. So I never stopped talking. I talked to him day and night and all the way through his last breath. They say hearing is the last sense to go when you die; I hope he heard every word. There have been days recently where I've felt genuinely happy to the point it made me emotional because I don't remember the last time I was happy. Like, I legit forgot what it feels like. I'm so thankful for those days but then, inevitably, they get overshadowed by the intense feeling of emptiness and grief and I try to find reasons to even be here. Losing Jerell has been a rollercoaster of emotions that I never expected to feel so raw and real. I'm learning how to handle the hard days, learning how to grieve through them but not live in them. Those of you who have stayed by my side through all of this, just know I am eternally grateful. I know I am blessed. Today, I will make an effort to acknowledge the good more than the bad and try to remember that Jerell would want me down here slaying and being the baddie he loved to love 😘🩷 23 May 2024
