Don’t quit your job just because you started a business. @danessa_myricks didn’t take a salary from her business until 2021. Instead of treating entrepreneurship as all or nothing, she kept working and volunteered her time, deliberately putting herself in rooms where she could learn from people already doing what she wanted to achieve. Proximity to where you want to be is worth more than the paycheck. If no one was giving her the opportunity, she gave her time for free just to be in the room. Having a seat at the table with @Emmagrede and so many brilliant, inspiring women was such a gift. There's something incredibly powerful about being in a room filled with women who are building, leading, creating, and generously sharing their experiences along the way. ❤️ One of the things I've learned as a founder is that success becomes so much more meaningful when it's shared. Building a business isn't always easy, and neither is being a woman in business, which is why spaces like this matter so much.
