Creamy matcha for u 🤍🍵 MOTD: Daily 01 @dailyorigin_ (anniversary release) Yabukita isn’t usually my preference, but this one is worth a second look👀 I think it’s best enjoyed as a latte. It opens with a vegetal taste, followed by mild umami and a gentle bitterness that lingers. I personally prefer it cold whisked with oatmilk and brown sugar syrup, which brings out its chocolatey notes or blue agave to mellow out the astringency. It also produces lovely creamy microfoam, making it a great choice for everyday lattes and creative matcha drinks! At ₱590 for 30g, I’d say it’s a steal. A great everyday matcha, especially for beginners looking to explore matcha without spending too much. My only little gripe is the packaging. I’d recommend keeping it in its original foil pouch to help preserve its freshness. It’s already been a week since our 1st anniversary, and we are still replaying the whole night in our heads! From yelling out answers during quiz night to just hanging out and catching up over drinks, having everyone together in one room was so special. Made for your every day: Meet Daily 01, our 1st anniversary release. We have continuously tested matcha powders from across Japan, trying different cultivars and blends. While we came across many great ones, Daily 01 really hit the spot. Yabukita may be easily accessible, but this one from a 6th-generation farm in Wazuka, Kyoto (est. 1854) makes all the difference.
