Amy Grant prayed over an empty church. A week later, Richard Casper walked into her house with a dream for that same building. Neither knew what the other had been carrying. Richard, a Marine veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and co-founder of CreatiVets, had imagined that church becoming a place where veterans could heal through art and music. But he needed at least $2.5 million to take the next step. Amy’s response: “There’s a reason you showed up today. Put it under contract.” Now, CreatiVets is transforming that Nashville church into an arts and music center, with plans for songwriting, art studios, and 24-hour creative space. Somewhere veterans can turn when the hardest hours come. Sometimes you don’t find out someone has been praying over your next chapter until you’re already walking into it.
