Watch what @maxhoma does next… because there’s no place like the back nine to learn about “gendered cognitive stickiness” (a sociological concept to describe how the parental mental load has historically “stuck” to mothers).

Instead of how much we can bench, what if we bragged about how much of the mental load we can carry?
Strong men change diapers, and know what size their baby wears, and remember when it’s time to order more, and keep the diaper bag stocked...
And I’m partnering with @coterie to encourage dads to talk about this more #CoteriePartner

Our first @peanut x @coterie Village Fund event: A dinner hosted by @isabel.ogara to thank the friends who carried her through chemotherapy, after being diagnosed with one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer while pregnant.
While she was becoming a mother of 2 and fighting for her life at the same time, her friends showed up with meals, school pickups, and hands to hold.
After finishing chemo last month, this dinner was her first act of gratitude on the other side.
We’re so honored to celebrate @isabel.ogara and her village this Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Let your partner know how much you appreciate (or would appreciate 😉) them sharing the mental load, with a little help from pro golfer @maxhoma 💌
Invisible labor is invisible because it often goes unrecognized. But it’s really important to appreciate the mental work it takes to keep a family functioning. So, share these with any parent who could use some words of affirmation!

Saying we need to talk to dads more about sharing the mental load isn’t making assumptions based on outdated stereotypes. It’s a fact that research repeatedly backs up:
Cognitive household labor remains undervalued and highly gendered. It’s also invisible (mostly happening in moms’ brains), so we need to keep spotlighting these stats and studies!!!

Moms still carry 71% of the parental mental load. So share these EXCLUSIVE tips* from professional golfer @maxhoma with every dad you know! Tip #4 will BLOW YOUR MIND! 😉
*These tips won’t actually improve your golf game. But they will help improve your relationship satisfaction, which research shows is highest when partners equally share cognitive household labor.

A very important message for the dudes and dads, with my favorite diaper brand @coterie, on behalf of moms everywhere.
It’s time to lock in our mental game, boys!

We put this important message in @GolfDigest, which has a mostly male readership, because we want to get more dads involved in the Parental Mental Load Conversation!
It’s been a hot topic in moms’ group chats and social feeds for a while. The common refrain: Default Parents (historically and statistically moms) are burnt out from carrying a majority of the household planning, scheduling, managing, etc.
And we’ve seen so many comments, “it’s too bad more men aren’t served this content” and “someone please get this message in front of my husband” 💡
Expecting moms to shift the mental load imbalance themselves just piles more cognitive labor onto them. So this ad is for the dads who can help us change things!

As soon as you’re pregnant, moms are inundated with parenting content. Meanwhile, dads’ algorithms seem suspiciously unchanged.
Most baby-brand advertising and parenting information is still targeted at moms. Because moms have historically done most of the household researching, purchasing, lunchbox packing, diaper-bag stocking, and clothing-size tracking (read: carrying a majority of the mental load).
As a baby brand, if we just keep talking to moms, we’re perpetuating this status quo.
We want to start changing things. Teeing off tomorrow 👀
