🗣️UPDATE April 22: @simonecromer 🌺
I wanted to wait until after the Oscars to unveil my new community support pages for Heated Rivalry/Connor Storrie. But after a false mass reporting effort temporarily closed down my tumblr account, Storrie Glorrie, on Thursday, I was able to provide proof of the mass report attack to tumblr, and as of today, they restored my tumblr account.
I became a fan of Heated Rivalry like everyone else in December. And by early January, I was taken aback by attacks on the stars of the show by a subset of fans who couldn't discern fiction from reality when it came to the actors' personal lives.
As I'm sensitive to attacks against anyone for their sexual orientation, gender, age, and race, etc., I was alarmed and offended that a new LGBTQ show that I was trying to embrace and learn more about was actually being attacked by a very vocal group in the fan community. It was incredibly disheartening to witness.
I have identified Connor Storrie, in particular, as an actor who will have a remarkable career in film and TV, and he will certainly win awards; he's definitely a future EGOT-type talent. And I felt that I needed to build up a fan community to support Connor, and François Arnaud from the dangerous and malicious attacks that they have received. Fans have been attacked too. They need to know that they have a community of fans who care about their welfare, and will be there to support their artistic endeavors.
Due to challenges in keeping a Storrie Glorrie IG account open, in my bio you will find the link to the Storrie Glorrie X page.
Sometimes you have to stick with the devil you know to get work done.
Thanks! Simone

I've been having some very deep conversations with trusted friends whom I would not have in my life if it weren't for being part of the Chalamet fandom. We've all come to the same conclusion that things have changed in this fandom in such a significant way that we also have to adjust to the changes and focus on other interests that simply bring us joy.
To deny the obvious is to be obtuse and bury your head in the sand. This fan community is not the same as it was four years ago. The notable shift was exactly 12 months ago, and the clock started to tick. Basically, so much has changed from what we all initially signed up for that it doesn't resemble what lured us here in the first place.
I'm proud of all the work I have put into this community, as I don't believe in half-assing anything that I believe in. But once I don't fully believe in it anymore, I have to recenter my focus on things I believe in and that make me happy.
I have reanimated my legacy IG profile that I created over 13 years ago, @simonecromer, and I'm looking forward to resuming sharing my interests in a vast array of activities that are personal or related to my film reviews, my home buying mission, and upcoming travels, etc.
But along with all that, I look forward to supporting a wide variety of celebrities whose work I enjoy and helping promote their projects in my little way, and if they appreciate the support, that's all the more fun.
This photo of me was taken during my visit to Crema last August (the rooftop of San Clemente hotel), and if there's one thing I am so grateful to be part of this community, it is my love for Italy, and this small town that the CMBYN film introduced me to. I look forward to visiting again in due time.
Anyhoo, follow me at my personal IG because I'll keep the same vibe going on over there.

The Dune segment of the WB panel was worth the price of my #CinemaCon badge! They had a cast of 50 Fremen actors, and two of them levitated like Cirque du Soleil! Denis, Timothèe, Zendaya, and Jason introduced the first 7 mins of Part 3! It was brutal and beautiful! This might be the best of the franchise because it’s not only more emotional but according to Denis, it’s a thriller too. Denis is overdue for an Oscar nomination and I hope he finally gets it, and wins next March! The audience loved what we saw!
I’m heading home on Wednesday, I can only take so much of Las Vegas, it’s overstimulating, and the indoor smoking and recycled AC has seriously fucked up my allergies 🤧. But I’m so glad to have attended my first CinemaCon and I look forward to attending again one day, but I had to be here to celebrate Dune: Part Three.

I literally had to fight like a Fremen, or a feral Alia to get my damn Dune: Part Three ticket! It was like trying to get tickets to see a Pearl Jam/NIN/Tame Impala tour. WTH? But I’m glad there is raw and exciting interest in the final Dune film!
Did you get a ticket?

Like last year, after the Oscar season, I take a trip back home to Michigan to decompress, get recharged, grounded, and celebrate my mom's birthday. I'm back from my holiday break, and I'm feeling refreshed.
I know a LOT of you have questions, and instead of writing a Substack article, I would like to host an Ask Me Anything. The link to submit your question is in the bio and in my recent Stories post. Feel free to ask me whatever you want, and I'll try my best to answer what I can, within reason. All the questions and responses will be on the public Substack notes for all to read.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the mood of the fandom has significantly shifted into something that none of us has experienced before, and honestly, I don't know what to tell you. All I can say is that you can just look back into the history of my posts here at IG and you will come to see why I was attacked for my beliefs and opinions, and that in the end, I did not lie or exaggerate. So there's no need for me to rip off an old bandage and start those conversations again.
I want to help us move forward, but you all must understand that I also have a new attitude. I know my value in this fandom, and it wasn't embraced or appreciated, not that it was something I sought or expected, but I'm left feeling, well... now what? What do people expect of me when so many didn't take me seriously, or blew me off and mocked me? I don't owe anyone anything, especially after what I've been through. But I do have a sense of obligation to answer some of your questions, if I can.
I'm looking forward to attending Cinemacon in Las Vegas in less than two weeks where I believe there should be some Dune Part Three presentations and information from the Warner Brothers panel, and I look forward to sharing that with you all.
One thing I would tell many of you is that it's ok to take a step back, support other interests, while observing Timmy's next steps, just like how I'm doing. It's all good.

I’m at the Project Hail Mary screening and they showed the Dune Part Three trailer, and the audience applauded after! We’re in for a treat in December!

I find it incredibly offensive that, after all I have done in this fan community, on top of the relentless attacks on me, some of you have the fucking audacity to think that somehow, I haven't done "enough" in the past month or so to show support to Timothée.
I've done more than any of you who are reading this right now. So if you have a problem with how you think I should be managing Club Chalamet or my support for this man since 2018, you need to fuck right off and go straight to hell! I'm sick of the bipolar bullshit from many of you. You either think I spend too much time celebrating and supporting his career, or daring to be at the same public venue he's at, or I'm not doing enough to save him from backlash when he has a team of highly paid, influential professionals who are the ones in the best position to support their client.
If you want a superfan to wave a magic wand and offer help or assistance to Timothée, then you'd better look somewhere else. There are plenty of fan accounts out there that you can cry to and beg them to do something to make the world better for Timothée.
He's a grown man who will be fine. It's apparent that many of you aren't paid subscribers to my Substack, where I have been extremely active since X and IG platforms have failed me. Because if you were, you would know how much I support him. We all suffer rough patches in our lives. And I know that the very people who expect me to do "something" for Timmy weren't there when I needed their help last year!
A lot of people didn't help me last year; they just laughed and piled on, but now suddenly, I'm supposed to work PR miracles for a millionaire A-list actor?
So please, fuck off if you don't like how I run things here, or if you have a problem with me showing support for other celebrities as I have done for decades!
I appreciate that people hold a high value for what I do with CC, but I don't have the access, the power, or the influence that you think I have.

I just watched the trailer for Dune Part 3, and Denis Villeneuve appears to have miraculously continued to improve upon the previous film in this already gloriously perfect Dune franchise.
It would be interesting to see how many creative liberties he's had to take to blend the Dune Messiah and Children of Dune books to make Part Three one final film to complete Paul/Timmy's arc.
I'm going to Cinemacon next month in Vegas, and there will be a WB panel, and I fully anticipate learning more about Dune Part Three at that event. I'm so excited to watch this film.

I have been engaged in a ton of texts/DMs/emails about Timmy's Oscar loss for Marty Supreme. And it's clear that a lot of well-meaning, staunch supporters of Timothée, don't understand the gravity of the uphill challenges Timmy faces for a future Oscar contention.
It's going to be very difficult, and it's going to take a very long time for Timmy to be in the position of not only being in contention again, but a contender who can win with the guilds (BAFTA/SAG/Oscar), all three. Timmy now finds himself in the position where he needs to reassess his career plans, and take a serious break from his current reality, because something is not working.
I'm not just a fan, but I'm a person who is associated with people who cover the film industry and vote in a variety of awards groups and I have gained insight that prepared me for what occured. It became clear to me, several weeks ago, that the Oscars outcome that happened, would happen, and I long accepted it because I saw the signs early.
For the fans writing to me asking if Timmy can win for Dune Part 3, please, stop thinking about Oscars. The Oscars don't owe Timmy an Oscar, and Dune Part 3 is not going to be the third film in a row to give Timmy a nomination, let alone a win.
At the present, I have ceased updating CC at twitter, I won't deactivate it, but I distrust that app so much that it has become useless. But I have seen people on twitter mention me because they are desperate to mock Timmy's loss, not realizing that I'm actually very pleased with Michael B. Jordan winning the Oscar. So, no meltdown fodder for those trolls. LOL!
Fans, just take care of yourself and read the room. Read what industry pundits are saying, and don't take it personally, because they know what they're saying because they have access to BTS chatter.
Timmy would do good to recenter his life and career by doing some deep soul searching, take a lot of time off from the publica eye, and seeking new business associates to help him navigate a brand new redirection, and rebranding for his career.

To the people who think I'm upset that Timothée didn't win the Oscar tonight, I'm sorry to disappoint you. But I prepared myself for tonight's results, and I made peace with it weeks ago.
Overall, my other favorite performances and films won, and this year's Oscars were much better than last year's, that's for damn sure.
I'm going to write a post-Oscar article on my Substack tomorrow, and you're not going to get the meltdown that you need or thought you were going to get. When you watched the Oscars for as long as I have, and you have observed film promotions and Oscar campaigns for as long as I have, you develop a sense of what works and what doesn't, and that prepared me for the results of this year's Oscars.
I'm glad this messy Oscar season is over, and I'm at peace more than you'll ever understand.
It's ok to be upset that Timmy didn't win tonight, but he'll be ok, and one day, he will win that Oscar, but it will take a while longer.

It goes without saying that not only am I aware of the smear campaign against Timmy and Marty Supreme, but it’s a frustrating emotional pain that one feels when they care about someone they look at like a nephew. I’ve been following the Oscar season since the late 80s, and I’ve seen a lot of dirty shit. But this year takes the cake!
I’m still going to the Oscars watch party at the Academy Museum with friends and I’m going to have a good time, regardless! Timothée will be ok, and I will write a huge post Oscar season wrap up and analysis the day after. 🧐
If you love a film and a performance, awards don’t matter in the larger scheme of the world. With everything that is going on right now on this planet, let’s keep things in perspective and keep looking forward.
