Had to recreate the whole thing myself to thank Ashwin Sir for gifting me Master Your Chess by Judit Polgar!
Okay, be honest. How would you rate my handmade version out of 10? 😂♟️👇 design cover for the book credits @adamledfordgenesis @adamgenesisartuniverse

Fried Liver players think they get a free attack against your king on move 4. Show them this stat: 57.5% win rate for Black. 🤯♟️
In Beat The Fried Liver Attack: The Hammer Counter-Gambit, former World Championship second to Magnus Carlsen and 4-time Norwegian Champion GM Jon Ludvig Hammer shows you how to turn the tables with 5...Nd4!:
🔨 The Counter-Strike: Stop babysitting f7 and meet White’s aggressive knight leap with one of your own.
🔨 Total Initiative: Gain tempo with every single move, push White's pieces backward, and hit a lethal 4-to-1 attack ratio.
🔨 Tested at the GM Level: Built on lines GM Hammer plays himself against top-tier grandmasters, complete with devastating king-hunt sequences.
White wants fireworks? Give them an explosion they can't survive.

The engine says 1.e4 e5 is "equal" so why does it feel like Black is the only one suffering? 😩
White grabs space, controls the tempo and decides whether to lock the center, launch a kingside assault or slowly squeeze you off the board. Black just sits there, passive and cramped, looking over their shoulder until the position cracks.
Danish Champion and Chessable’s 2025 Author of the Year, GM Lars Schandorff, has a radically different solution: stop playing to defend, and develop to attack.
In Schandorff’s Systematic Guide to 1.e4 e5, he throws out passive setups and builds a razor-sharp Black repertoire around the combative Cordel bishop (4...Bc5!):
🎯 The Ruy Lopez Solution: Your bishop on c5 puts White in an immediate bind. If they block with c3/d4, you rip the center apart with a timely ...d5 break. If they play around it, your bishop shreds the a7–g1 diagonal while your g- and h-pawns smash open their king.
🎯 Universal Firepower: Apply the exact same active bishop setup against the Italian and Scotch (hitting f2 with an early ...Qf6 to force awkward concessions).
🎯 Sidelines Crushed: Clean, aggressive answers against the King's Gambit, Vienna, Center Game, and offbeat tries.
🎯 Zero Waste: Just 367 MoveTrainer lines. Schandorff trims theoretical bloat so every single line you drill is one you'll actually see on the board.
Turn 1...e5 into your most dangerous attacking weapon with GM Schandorff! 💥

5.g2-g4!? against the Semi-Slav! ♟️
Last weekend I played in a rapid tournament in Gdańsk, Poland, combining chess with a short family holiday. I finished 5th, exactly matching my starting rank. 😊
In round two, I had the White pieces against a player rated just under 1900 FIDE. We reached the Semi-Slav, one of the most popular and deeply analyzed openings against 1.d4.
I’ve been working on my second course for @chessable, so I decided to test one of my secret weapons: 5.g2-g4!?
This move has appeared in databases only a few dozen times, despite the position occurring in hundreds of thousands of games!
It’s not entirely new - GM Matthew Sadler explored it a couple of years ago. However, my recommendations will differ from his, especially after 5…Nxg4, where I suggest something different as early as move six.
I won in a fine attacking style, and the surprise factor worked perfectly.
Would I recommend 5.g4 as your main weapon against the Semi-Slav? Not necessarily. With good preparation and enough thinking time, Black should be able to equalize. But for rapid and especially blitz, I think it has real practical potential!
That’s why 5.g4!? will feature in a bonus chapter of my upcoming Anti-Slav course for Chessable, while the main recommendation will be the more established 5.Bg5.
The course is expected to be released in early 2027. 😊
Here are a few positions from that chapter!

Ever notice how easy it is to miss a tactic simply because your "mind’s eye" gets blurry 3 moves deep? As digital boards take over, players are losing the lost art of mental calculation leading to blunders and dropped pieces.
Enter FIDE Master and Sicilian expert FM Christoph von Puttkamer with Visualization Trainer: Sicilian Defense.
Originally created to rebuild his own calculation sharpness after a long tournament layoff (sparking an immediate, dramatic rating jump), FM Von Puttkamer designed a brutal, 2-step training framework that forces your brain to calculate in absolute clarity:
1️⃣ Step 1: Mentally calculate a sharp Sicilian line entirely in your head until a winning tactic appears, without moving a piece.
2️⃣ Step 2 (The Twist): Execute the winning blow on a "blind" half-diagram displaying only your pieces, forcing complete mental mapping of Black's hidden threats.
Inside, you get 300 real-game Sicilian puzzles backed by 11+ hours of master-level video analysis. You don't just fix your calculation blind spots; you absorb deep tactical patterns for both White and Black in chess’s most critical opening.
Train your mental vision to see deep, decisive combinations before your opponent even spots them! 🎯♟️

You play 1.d4 and your opponent opts for an Indian Defense. What do you do? You heed the advice of GM Erwin L'ami and hit them with the "critical test." ♟️🔥
In Lifetime Repertoires: L'Ami's 1.d4 – Part 2, world-renowned opening theorist and former Dutch Champion GM Erwin L'Ami (peak 2651 FIDE) delivers the definitive blueprint for dismantling every non-1...d5 setup Black throws at you.
Having prepped world-class players like Anish Giri and Veselin Topalov, GM L'Ami reveals the most challenging, principled ways to punish Black's favorite systems:
⚔️ Vs King's Indian Defense: Unleash the devastating Bayonet Attack to launch a queenside storm before Black's kingside attack even gets off the ground.
⚔️ Vs Grünfeld Defense: Adopt a hyper-aggressive setup with massive attacking potential that forces Black into survival mode.
⚔️ Vs Modern Benoni & Benko: Deploy the razor-sharp "Flick-Knife" Attack (Taimanov Variation) to leave Black completely paralyzed from the opening moves.
⚔️ Plus: Complete master-level answers to the Dutch, sidelines, and offbeat tries.
Best of all, you don't have to memorize endless engine recs. L'Ami builds the course around clear, sound pawn plans, space advantages, and dedicated Quickstarter chapters that get you tournament-ready in record time.
Complete your 1.d4 arsenal with the opening specialist top grandmasters trust! 🏆
