BJÖRK’S CORNUCOPIA BOOK RELEASE
I’m proud to announce the release of Cornucopia: The Book. This book documents my five-year tour, Cornucopia, designed by M/M Paris, with images shot by photographer Santiago Felipe.
Before this tour, I spent a decade working with 360-degree sound and visual software in virtual reality and animation, creating Biophilia, the first app album, and later Vulnicura as a VR album. I was deeply inspired by the idea of a fully-immersive experience, spending a spring in an Icelandic lighthouse, spreading Utopia into fully surround speakers. My intention was to bring what we had created for 21st-century VR into a 19th-century theatre—taking it from the headset to the stage.
This vision was realized with 27 moving curtains that captured projections on different textures and LED screens, creating a digitally animated show: a modern lanterna magica for live music. I also wanted to feature bespoke instruments: a magnetic harp, an aluphone, a circular flute, and a reverb chamber, specially built with an audio architect to enhance the most intimate version of a performance—in a personal chapel.
Throughout this tale, there is a subplot woven in: a second story of an avatar—a modern marionette who alchemically mutates, from puppet to puppet, from the injury of a heart wound to a fully healed state.

'i am so happy and proud of this concert .. we all put enormous love , energy and time into it . i have learned slowly through the years , about the juxtaposition of voices and the electronic ... for me it is a philosophical matter , how nature and technology can coexist amicably . i got an opportunity to learn how to get this balance just right , through extensive rehearsals in the space we got in covid . it is often easier for me to do this on the recordings , but here we did it physically live . and i could tweak older songs that i felt i hadn´t acquired experience yet how to perform live . i am grateful to bergur þórisson , þorgerður ingólfsdóttir and the hamrahlíð choir for their generousity and this experience . thank you'

Styðjum áfram við bakið á Seyðfirðingum !!!
11. september síðastliðinn voru gefin út starfsleyfi og rekstrarleyfi til sjókvíaeldis í Seyðisfirði - þvert á vilja 75% íbúa bæjarins sem lýstu sig andvíg áformunum. AEGIS hefur staðið við bakið á náttúrunni og meirihluta Seyðfirðinga með því að styrkja lögfræðilegar aðgerðir gegn leyfisveitingum síðustu ár. Vinnan hefur sýnt svart á hvítu að stjórnsýslan er í algjörum lamasessi og að miklu leyti undir hælnum á fjársterkum sjókvíaeldisfyrirtækjum sem flest eru í meirihluta eigu norskra auðkýfinga.
Góðu fréttirnar við útgefin leyfi eru að nú er hægt að kæra þau. Og það ætlar AEGIS að styrkja @va_verndfjardar til að gera. Lögfræðingar og heimamenn vinna hörðum höndum að kærunni saman - þökk sé stuðning ykkar allra sem hlustuðuð á Oral. Kærunni verður skilað inn 11.október og að því tilefni hvetur breiðfylking náttúruverndarsamtaka fólk til að mæta á Austurvöll og sýna Seyðfirðingum að okkur er ekki sama. Sjórinn er enda lögum samkvæmt sameigileg ábyrgð okkar allra sem landið byggjum.
@hannakatrinfridriks hélt því fram í opnunarræðu á fiskeldisráðstefnu í liðinni viku að við þyrftum að byggja fiskeldi upp til lengri tíma fyrir komandi kynslóðir. Þessu erum við ósammála. Umhverfisráðherra @johannpallj hefur hins vegar haldið því fram á opinberum vettvangi að Ísland muni standa við 30x30 markmiðið (að vernda a.m.k. 30% af hafi og landi fyrir 2030) og að við megum halda honum ábyrgum fyrir því. Það ætlum við að gera og leggjum því frekar til að Seyðisfjörður verði fyrsti fjörðurinn til að fá friðun í því verkefni, frekar en að verða bara einn einn fjörðurinn sem er fórnað í innflutta eyðileggingu norsku auðkýfinganna…

i am so honoured to be wearing clothes from the mythological mugler , i remember seeing exhibition with hungry and seeing upclose the miraculous craft , textiles and patterns : biological sci fi galore ! it was a tall order for miguel to express that fantasy as a confident continuation of the archives but he nailed it !!! magical to combine an archival hat with miguels best !! congratulations !!!

🔴 Björk: Ancestress, Sorrowful Soil & Nerve Bloom (remix)
The exhibition in Bielsko-Biała brings together three audiovisual installations by Björk, Ancestress (Przodkini), Sorrowful Soil (Zasmucona ziemia) and Nerve Bloom (remix) (Rozkwit wrażliwości), accompanied by an exhibition of drawings and 14 oil paintings by Natalia Kleszczewska that serve as the basis for the moving visuals.

Í sumar hefur staðið yfir sýninginin echolalia eftir Björk í Listasafni Íslands þar sem þrjár innsetningar veita gestum einstakt tækifæri til að upplifa alltumlykjandi verk sem búa yfir kynngimagnaðri hljóðrænni, sjónrænni og tilfinningalegri dýpt.
Framundan eru síðustu dagar sýningarinnar en síðasti séns til að upplifa echolalia er sunnudagurinn 20. september. Við hvetjum öll til að gera sér ferð á safnið.

This summer, the echibition echolalia by Björk has been on display at the National Gallery of Iceland, where three installations offer visitors a unique opportunity to experience immersive works of extraordinary sonic, visual, and emotional depth.
The exhibition is now entering its final days, with the last opportunity to experience echolalia being Sunday, September 20. We encourage everyone to make the trip to the museum.
