Audi recently brought SingleThread co-owners Chef Kyle and Katina Connaughton to Austin to present a three night restaurant at the newly opened 1 Hotel Austin #audipartner Audi’s longstanding alliances with 1 Hotels and SingleThread draw hospitality, dining and design into the same orbit, where each discipline answers to a shared devotion to craft, precision and forward motion Katina created her signature centerpieces for each table which also presented the first course. “Hassun” is the opening of a kaiseki meal that sets its seasonal theme The experience brought fresh, seasonal elements from their farm in Sonoma to Austin and combined them with local ingredients and tlavors Guests enjoyed fresh air and a view of Austin from the 14th floor of the brand new 1 Hotel The menu combined ingredients from SingleThread’s farm in Sonoma, CA with select local ingredients from Texas to create flavors that bridged the two locales In the kitchen a chef places a beet on the Salanova salad American White Sturgeon Caviar, Yuba, Shiso, and Vasa introduced a delicious twist to traditional corn flavors Rosewood Ranch’s Gold Ribeye with Imai Onion, Eggplant, Black Sesame and Sabayon was a celebration of Texan beef Storytelling about the ingredients, inspiration and flavors is an integral part of a SingleThread meal Like Audi, both partners have built reputations on experiences that feel considered down to the last detail, grounded in meticulous craftsmanship and an unmistakable sense of place SingleThread founders Chef Kyle and Katina Connaughton visited the Audi team garage 05 Nov 2026
