A little backstage moment for International Drag Day ✨💄❤️‍🔥🐶 ➡ through for the finished product on set! During our initial design meetings, we made a point to mention how nearly all Disney villains are queer-coded and what huge inspirations they are for us as designers (baddies always get the best costumes, duh) So we floated the idea of having a drag queen featured as our model for Cruella and we were absolutely delighted when they agreed! Happy 35, @capeusa! 🥳🧡 It was inspiring to be on the red carpet, close enough to some of my favorite artists that they could hear my panicked breathing!😬 The Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment is a fantastic non-profit that brings together and advocates for AAPI in the industry, traditionally in Film/TV. I’m honored to be part of a wave of digital creators and Games Asians (Gamesians??) welcomed to the organization. Most CAPE members and the incredible staff have overcome impossible odds with exceptional talent and drive, while continuing to open paths for others coming up. It was a joy and frankly a relief to be in an environment where everyone had an understanding of our shared experiences and the fight we face. Jon & Randy are out here healing the world with the power of music-- what an honor to be able to support such incredible artists 🤟🏼 Couldn't have done it without our wonderful on set stylist @jane_the_tater + assistant @dariendhester All vintage pieces from @crowley_vintage & our stock Fun fact - the only "new" piece of clothing used was Jon's tank top and I tea dyed them in my apartment the night before the shoot so they wouldn't look brand new bright-white lolol (see video!) 01 Aug 2025
