A dancer’s movement can disappear in a fraction of a second, but Andreas knows exactly when to press the shutter.
He photographs dancers and acrobats across New York, using subway platforms, city streets, and other urban locations as the backdrop for their movement. With precise timing, he freezes jumps, spins, and seemingly impossible poses at their most dramatic moment.
The contrast between controlled movement and everyday surroundings gives his photographs their cinematic quality, turning the city itself into part of each performance.

It all starts with a plain block of foam. Alex Creator cuts the shapes with a glowing hot wire, carves them by hand, then covers them in his own paste so the soft foam turns into something that looks like stone, scales or metal.
In this video that process becomes black snakes coiling inside a frame, a crocodile rising out of a pool of red, a face caught in a crown of golden thorns and a glowing dragon eye. He even presses a pinecone into the surface to borrow nature's own patterns.
Which piece would you hang on your wall? 👇

Gabriel Vinas (@gabrielvinasart) is a Cuban-born American sculptor whose work explores the human condition through figurative sculpture, portraiture and the study of human evolution. His MFA thesis focused on how scientists reconstruct ancient beings, and his practice brings together classical sculpting, production modeling and scientific anatomical reconstruction.
Under the veil in this piece is an Australopithecus mother holding the child she has lost. Both figures are built on speculatively reconstructed skeletons, based on what Australopithecus skulls can tell us. The video shows them come together step by step: removable armatures first, then foam to bulk out the shapes, then clay for the bodies and muscles, and finally the heavy draped cloth that hides them both. Every fold of that veil is sculpted by hand.
For Gabriel, the piece is about the questions science may never answer. How do you measure the grief of a mother who lived millions of years ago?
Drawing on philosophy, mythology and the natural world, he uses sculpture to explore how we might best spend our attention in the short span of a human life.
What did you feel when you saw what was under the veil? 👇

Signature ideas, all drawn by hand, one loop at a time ✍️
Yakışıklı İmza is a Turkish creator who designs custom signatures and name logos by hand, making them for people all over the world.
In this video, each signature starts as a few strokes on a sample form and grows into something with real character. One turns into a wolf, another into an eagle, and a simpler one becomes a small bird. Others play with the idea of how a regiment commander, a prosecutor or a school principal might sign, just for fun, each one bold enough that it would be hard to copy.
Which one would you use as your own? 🖊️

Giant oak logs, a chainsaw, a huge lathe and a torch. That's how these black vessels are made 🖤
Benjamin Planitzer is a German sculptor and woodturner who carves monumental forms from massive blocks of wood. Huge blocks of oak go onto a large lathe and get shaped while they spin, then they are carved with a chainsaw and the wood is charred with a torch.
The wood comes exclusively from Benjamin's immediate surroundings, within a small radius of home. Each tree is carefully selected with certified foresters and felled for necessary forestry reasons, not artistic demand. By knowing the exact origin of every tree, often down to its coordinates, Planitzer treats wood not as anonymous material, but as something with history, place, and dignity 🌳
This video follows the whole journey. Logs almost as tall as Benjamin spin on the lathe, shavings fly as the tools bite in, and deep rings are grooved into an egg-shaped vessel. Then the surfaces are carved into rows of scales and turned black, and the finished pieces are carried into a showroom, where the dark, textured wood looks right at home.
Which stage would you want to watch in person? 🪵

Zohreh Hesami has spent 15 years turning bare walls and ceilings into rooms that feel like they belong in a palace. Based in Iran, she leads a team of painters who specialise in murals and patina finishes, and together they take on projects across Iran and its neighbouring countries.
This video shows the range of what they do. Plain white columns become marbled skies with a few wide brushes. Domed ceilings fill with soft clouds and classical figures, painted from scaffolding high above the floor. Cherry blossom branches with small birds stretch across one wall, a nod to the flower and bird painting loved in Persian art, while another ceiling turns into a huge swirl of wings, flowers and gold.
You also get the quieter steps behind it all: full-size drawings on tracing paper to plan each design, ornate plaster details picked out in colour by hand, and a lot of teamwork on very high platforms.
Which room would you most like to walk into? 🎨

On Saturday 17 October 2026, the town hall of Limoges in France was set on fire during the nationwide protests. Authorities say the fire was started deliberately. By that evening its 43 metre clock tower had collapsed and much of the roof was gone 🔥
The building opened on 14 July 1883 and was built as a "palace of the people". Inside, the French state placed paintings that told the story of Limoges and its region. Henri-Paul Motte painted two large scenes for the grand staircase: The Workshop of Léonard Limosin, the Renaissance master who made Limoges enamel famous, and Past and Present, showing Henri IV bringing the Limousin into France.
Upstairs, Jean-Joseph Weerts painted the ceiling of the Blue Room, the old council chamber, with The Genius of Liberty granting charters to the towns of the Limousin. In the wedding room, couples married beneath a ceiling by Urbain Bourgeois. Many of these works are now feared lost, but photos from inside show at least one of Motte's paintings still on the wall, damaged but standing. 💔

Xie Yifei paints entire cities with a palette knife, one rooftop at a time 🏘️
The Chinese oil painter is known for huge, crowded cityscapes packed with colorful houses, balconies, water tanks, laundry lines and tiny windows. Instead of brushes, almost everything is done with a small palette knife. Each stroke lays down thick, textured paint, and he builds the city block by block across the canvas until the blank white surface is completely covered.
Some of these paintings start with a light outline of the buildings. Others he paints straight onto the empty canvas with no sketch at all, finishing each house before moving on to the next. One of them took him from winter all the way to spring, and he joked that it nearly broke his back.
Only at the very end does a fine brush come out, just to sign his name. Step back and the whole scene comes together: pink, blue, terracotta and cream walls stacked up a hillside, full of life and almost real enough to walk into 🎨

Eddy Bennett (@eddyartist) paints every sign backwards, on the back of the glass ✨
The Brighton-based artist works with glass and gold, mixing Victorian sign-making techniques with a bold pop art style. He discovered reverse glass gilding in 2015, and later trained one-on-one with master glass artist David Smith MBE in brilliant cutting and traditional mirror silvering.
The whole process happens in reverse. He cuts and engraves the glass on a spinning stone wheel, etches patterns with acid, then lays down real gold leaf so thin it floats on the slightest breath. Every letter, outline and shadow is painted by hand on the back of the glass, in mirror image, and in the opposite order to a normal painting. The details go on first and the background last, because what's painted first is what you see on top from the front.
In this video you can see pieces like a gold and glass Oasis mirror and a huge, colorful sign full of palm trees, oranges, mushrooms and glowing lettering. Only when the glass is turned around can you see if every layer worked 🏆
It's a craft that was once found on old pub windows and shop fronts, and he's keeping it alive one sign at a time.

@allthatisshe turns an ordinary living room floor into a haunted house, one photo at a time 👻
Dominique Davis and her partner are a creative couple from the North East of England who turned their love of stop motion into a creative business. Their videos look like they're packed with special effects, but most of the magic happens with a camera fixed to the ceiling, a rug, a few props and a lot of patience.
Here's the trick. Dominique isn't standing, running or floating at all. She's lying on the floor while the camera shoots straight down from above, so the floor becomes the "wall" and every pose looks like she's moving through the room. Between each photo she shifts just a tiny bit, and when all the photos are played back in a row, she seems to run from a ghost, get swallowed by the sofa, fly from bats or drift through an underwater dream.
This style is called pixilation, a type of stop motion where real people are used instead of puppets. Every second of the final video is made from many separate photos, so even a few seconds can mean hours of lying still, getting up, checking the shot and lying back down again. The technique goes back decades. One of the most famous early examples, Norman McLaren's short film Neighbours from 1952, even won an Oscar 🏆
Simple props, a lot of creativity and endless patience. That's the real Halloween magic 🎃
