One final post from today. You're all familiar with the Sushi Shot from Isle of Dogs, but I stumbled upon this old edit showing the R&D of this shot (which went of for a long time!!!) Started in drawn form as an animatic and then a lot of working out was done in plasticine or simply using our hands. I then roughly blocked out the whole thing before starting animation. A lot of the early R&D was done by @tobiasfouracre who very much paved the way in terms of working out the beats of the shot before both myself and @smokinghippo animated the final shot 23 Sep 2026
