Today, we release Future Orphans—our final album as American Standards. 13 years ago to the day, we dropped our first full length record, Still Life. Now, on its anniversary, we close the chapter with an album that’s both a culmination and a tribute. Mastered by Jay Maas at Getaway Recording—the same person who helped bring Still Life to life—it all comes full circle. We set out to make Future Orphans everything we ever wanted American Standards to be. Raw, unpredictable, dynamic. Every note recorded knowing it’d be the last. We didn’t rush it. Life happened. And rather than force it out before our farewell show, we took the time to make this right. And we’re proud. This one’s for every person that’s ever screamed with us in a room, spun a record, or shared a moment. You gave us 15 years. We’ll never be able to thank you enough. But this album is our attempt. Listen now. Feel it. Share it. Let it wreck you the way it wrecked us making it. linktr.ee/americanstandards 161 likes · 26 comments · 30 Jun 2025 This isn’t goodbye but after 2023, we won’t see you as often. Thank you for 12 years of memories. The experiences we’ve had through this band are something we wouldn’t trade for the world. For fear of turning this into an unnecessarily long post, we owe you more than a few sentences. We knew going into this band what it was and what it wasn’t. We never had dreams of being the next big thing. The fact that we’ve been able to play 500 shows, share the stage with bands we look up to, and be featured by magazines we grew up reading is more than we ever could have expected. At the end of the day, this was all possible thanks to the people that supported us. We started at a time where the AZ music scene felt one dimensional. There weren’t a lot of artists bridging the gap between genres. Of course there were others that helped, but we always wanted to be a band that brought people together with mixed genre bills. The idea being that a genuine message and high energy delivery could win over any audience. That’s why I’d like to think our shows felt like the island of misfit toys. We’d have people that saw us at an Emery show mixed with people that caught us at Rings Of Saturn or Sick Of It All. I thought there was something special about bringing these crowds together. We also wanted to make the band about something beyond feeding egos. It wasn’t about how many people were at the shows, it was how much it mattered. With your help, we’ve been able to donate to so many charities. After losing our guitarist Cody and my father, the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention and American Cancer Society are both causes that are near and dear to us. We will continue to use this platform to support them. Finally, it’s all about community. Being in the band was a way to build our own extended family. I owe several of my closest friends to music. I’d anticipate long after the band, we’ll still have the ability to connect with people through it. With this said, we’ve scheduled time to record our final album, we’ll be announcing shows, and we’ve talked about organizing an annual event supporting local non profits. If you want to see us, this is the year. Let’s make it count. 234 likes · 39 comments · 03 Apr 2023 We released our first album 14 years ago today. We released our final album 1 year ago today. Eight tracks of ferocious, unflinching noise, mastered by Jay Maas (Defeater, Bane, Verse...) in the same studio where their story began. No farewell tour. No compromises. Just pure, uncompromised intensity. Feel the manifesto. __________________ 🔗 Stream the album now at scoreav.com and experience the final statement of American Standards. Link in comments. Thank you for every show, every listen, every moment. #AmericanStandards #SkuffMicksun #KodakStare #FutureOrphans 38 likes · 4 comments · 21 Aug 2025 Kodak Stare feat. @skuffmicksun is a piece of Future Orphans we didn’t want to leave behind. An alternate version of the song that now feels like a conversation, one voice answering another in the middle of the chaos. Thank you for letting us make noise in your lives for all these years. This one’s for you. This record wouldn’t exist without some seriously incredible humans: @skuffmicksun — your guest vocals on Kodak Stare crushed us in the best way. Truly honored to share space with your art. @jay_maas — you mastered Still Life, our first full-length, and now Future Orphans. Thank you for closing this chapter with us. @iamaaronmitchell — you mixed and engineered this album like a true brother. It felt like you were part of the band. Thank you for your heart, ears, and patience. This one’s for the everyone who stuck with us. We’ll see you in the feedback. #AmericanStandards #FutureOrphans #SkuffMicksun #JayMaas #AaronMitchellQuintero #HardcoreMusic #PostHardcore #ChaoticHardcore #MetallicHardcore #Mathcore #DIYScene #FinalAlbum #ThankYou 61 likes · 5 comments · 18 Jul 2025 We are all just #FutureOrphans. #metalcore #mathcore #hardcorepunk #chaotichardcore #americanstandards #posthardcore #futureorphans #azhc #metallichardcore 9 likes · 0 comments · 10 Jul 2025 Is this thing on? #metalcore #mathcore #hardcorepunk #chaotichardcore #americanstandards #posthardcore #futureorphans #metallichardcore #azhc 10 likes · 0 comments · 09 Jul 2025
