The evolution of our primary bedroom. I completely changed the layout of our L.A. house because I refused to sleep with my head pointing north, along with a bunch of other feng shui reasons. Years later, I ended up giving birth to one of my boys in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom, so I guess it all worked out exactly as it was supposed to. Went thru my archives and pulled together 15+ fall and winter outfit ideas featuring trench coats, leather jackets, suede jackets, parkas, and faux fur collar jackets I’ve worn over and over again. What’s something that your parent said to you as a kid that still lives in your head? Now that I’m a parent, I think about how the words we say in ordinary moments can stay with our kids long after we’ve forgotten saying them. I’m trying to speak to my kids the way I wish someone had spoken to me. With patience, kindness and room to make mistakes.
