Noah Kahan's album 'The Great Divide' opens with a gentle piano melody, heard over a slight buzz of crickets. That moment of serenity captures the essence of Long Pond Studio — the Hudson Valley outpost of producer Aaron Dessner, where Kahan traveled to write and record several songs.⁠ ⁠ Long Pond has been mythologized in pop culture since 2020, when Taylor Swift traveled there to record a live version of her album 'Folklore,' along with a Disney+ documentary. It was an absolute honor and pleasure to help @noahkahanmusic write and record "Draw You Out" for the @thehungergames "Sunrise on the Reaping" which is out now......Noah found his way into so beautifully giving voice to the tragic relationship between Haymitch and Lenore ...and as usual I got to play lots of instruments and soccer along the way. Thanks to @bellaicecream and @heyjonlow for engineering brilliance and @ryanhewittmix for brilliant mixing and as always @900x and @androidbarr for magical playing. I'm so incredibly proud and grateful to have been a part of making this deeply moving album with @sarabareilles -- "Good Grief" is out today and I hope you all dive into to what has to be one of the beautiful and cathartic meditations on grief and loss that has ever been made. Sara is one of the most gifted songwriters and singers I have ever encountered -- I feel very very lucky that I got to make some of this music with her. My dear friend @heyjonlow beautifully produced many of these songs with Sara and the always amazing @bellaicecream helped see this all through with us. Wind is the Weather is one of my favorite recordings ever made at Long Pond and I think you'll understand why when you listen. I listen to it nearly every day. Join us! PEOPLE Festival Oct 10/11 Berlin. A friend’s journey that brought together PEOPLE. Love at first sight. We meet in the Michelberger with Tom making coffee for all. After the encounter we dreamed up the Mystery Music Festival, and also Michelberger Brooklyn for a few years (it was all a dream). When Bryce recorded the score for The Revenant at Funkhaus, we encountered the magical space, there and then the idea for PEOPLE was born. What happened from then till now was as real, as human and as magical as a friend’s journey can be.
