Last May, I was honoured to be selected to take part in @hospital.of.emotions , an immersive exhibition in Los Angeles where 70 artists took over an abandoned hospital, transforming its rooms and spaces into artworks exploring the full spectrum of human emotions. I was invited to work within the Sadness Department, where I created Cronos — Time Eats It All. Hospitals are often places where people spend the final days of their lives. It is said that, in the moments before dying, a person sees their life pass before their eyes — not as a clean timeline, but as a flood of fragments: images, faces, emotions, places and moments, all appearing at once. This room exists somewhere inside that moment. Time Eats It All represents a life being remembered as it disappears. Sad moments, happy moments, victories, failures — none of them are separate anymore. Time treats them all equally. Everything that once felt permanent eventually becomes a memory, and every memory is slowly consumed by time. I’m very grateful to have been part of such a unique project, working with so many incredible artists from all over around the world. Thanks to @real_lours and @nachowelles for their help. Commissioned by @ealingcouncil , with great support from @houseofaeiou — and so many amazing locals who stopped by with coffees, cookies, and kind words. That kind of energy makes all the difference.
